*Each design plan has an estimated construction cost associated with it. These are the base, construction-grade estimated costs. Many factors affect this cost including site preparation, costs for servicing (hydro, water, septic, gas etc.), design changes, cost of materials, etc. The homeowner must work with their contractor to determine exact project costs.


Disclaimer: The SRDU program provides municipally owned, pre-approved building plans to simplify the design process and help expedite building permit approvals.  Pre-approved plans do not imply compliance with the Community Planning Permit By-law, use of the plans will require review of the property owner’s lot to determine if a CPP Permit may be required.

Property owners remain responsible for hiring and consulting with their own qualified professionals for site-specific conditions, construction, and code compliance.

All construction contracts, site work, and financial transactions are strictly between the property owner and their chosen contractor or service providers. The Municipality is not a party to these agreements and assumes no responsibility for the performance of external contractors or the financial construction outcome.
