Parks Labourer

The Corporation of the Town of Huntsville is located two hours north of Toronto in beautiful Muskoka cottage country. Huntsville, with a population approaching 20,000, is the largest community in the District of Muskoka and is a vibrant and dynamic community in which to live, work and play.

Reporting through the Lead Hands, the Seasonal Parks Labourer assists in the performance of all park operations for the winter season. This includes performing general grounds maintenance, snow removal, care of municipal areas, shrubs and trees, removal of seasonal items, and setup for events as directed.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have completed high school and have experience operating a variety of winter operations, and ground and turf maintenance equipment. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be willing to perform various duties in a range of weather conditions, and must have a valid Class G driver’s licence with a clean abstract.

This position starts mid-April (weather dependent) and the hourly rate is $19.58 to $21.58
