Municipal Election 2026: Third-Party Advertiser Registration Deadline is October 23
(Huntsville, ON) - As the 2026 Municipal Election approaches, the Town is reminding the public that the deadline for registering as a third-party advertiser is October 23. Individuals, corporations or trade unions who wish to promote, support or oppose a candidate, or take a position on a “yes” or “no” question on the ballot through paid advertising in any broadcast, print, electronic, or other medium must register as a third-party advertiser with the local municipal clerk.
Third-party advertising must be conducted independently of any candidate’s campaign and only those who have registered can incur expenses on third-party advertising.
The registration period for third-party advertisers opened on May 1, 2026, and will close at the end of business on Friday, October 23. For more information please visit: Huntsville.ca/election.
