Get Election Ready - Check Your Voter Information

(Huntsville, ON) – The countdown to the 2026 Municipal Election is on! A municipal election will be held in the Town of Huntsville on Monday, October 26, 2026. Eligible electors will have the opportunity to cast their ballot by internet or telephone to elect the Mayor and Council.  

Take a few minutes now to ensure you're ready to vote.

Who Can Vote? 

  • You are a Canadian citizen;
  • You are at least 18 years old;
  • You reside in the Town of Huntsville or are the owner or tenant of land in the Town of Huntsville, or a spouse of such person;
  • You are not prohibited from voting by law.

Check Your Registration
You must be on the Voters List to vote. Checking your voter information is quick and easy.  

Online:

  • Check your information on the Voting Lookup portal at huntsville.ca/election.
  • If you are not on the list, complete the online Application to Amend Voters List form and upload your identification through the Voter Registration Portal from September 1 until 7:00 p.m. on October 26. 

In person:

Visit the Huntsville Civic Centre (Town Hall), 37 Main Street East 

  • September 1 – October 13: Second floor, during regular business hours.
  • October 14 – October 26 at 8:00 p.m.: First Floor, Partners Hall (see the Election Help Centre hours below). 

Watch for Your Voter Information Letter
If you are registered to vote, your Voter Information Letter will begin arriving by mail at the end of September. It will contain the information you need to cast your ballot.  

Need Help? We're Here for You.
Beginning October 14, 2026, the Town will open an Election Help Centre for electors who need assistance or do not have access to a computer or telephone.

Do not wait until Election Day. Check your registration, watch for your 
Voter Information Letter, and be ready to vote!

Key Dates 
In preparation for the upcoming municipal election, the Town has identified some important key dates:

  • September 1 – October 26: Check, update or add yourself to the voters list by visiting huntsville.ca/election or by contacting the Town municipal office for assistance
  • October 14 – October 26: Cast your vote 
  • October 23: Last day for third-party advertisers to register
