(Huntsville, ON) – Some flood conditions in Huntsville remain active, however, water levels throughout the area are continuing to decrease. The Town will continue to monitor local water levels, waterways, flooded areas, and road conditions as the Flood Warning remains in effect until Wednesday, April 29.
 
Works crews are managing roads impacted by flooding, and regular maintenance activities are ongoing. Residents can expect to see operations crews filling potholes and conducting street sweeping activities over the coming weeks.

Sandbag materials
The Town continues to replenish sand and sandbag materials. These are available 24/7 for residents to fill at the following locations (please bring your own shovel):   

• Active Living Centre – Upper parking lot, 20 Park Drive, Huntsville
• Port Sydney Fire Department – 387 S Mary Lake Road, Port Sydney  

Used sandbag disposal
As water recedes, residents and businesses are reminded that sandbags are considered contaminated waste. Huntsville residents can drop off used sandbags at the Madill Yard (169 Madill Church Road, Huntsville), Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
