Applications Now Open for 2026 Community Grants and Support Program

(Huntsville, ON) - The Town of Huntsville is now accepting applications for the 2026 Community Grants and Support Program, which helps support local events, projects, and programs that bring people together and strengthen the community.

This annual program offers financial and non-financial support to community groups and organizations working to make Huntsville a more welcoming and active place to live.

Applications are available at Huntsville.ca/Grants and we encourage those interested to apply early, as funding is limited, and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. If your event, initiative, or activity has already taken place, you can still apply as long as it has occurred within the same calendar year.

The Community Grants and Support Program offers two types of support:

Grants

  • Up to 50% of the net cost of an event, project, or program (including requests to cover facility rental costs) to a maximum of $1,500.

Promotional Items

  • Non-financial support, such as free admission passes to Muskoka Heritage Place, may be requested for fundraising events.

Grant Funding Eligibility Highlights

  • The program is designed to support new ideas and community growth, not regular operating or administrative costs.

  • Fundraising events are not typically eligible, as the money raised often exceeds the cost of running the event. These applications will be considered and reviewed based on grant funding requirements.

  • Applications for recurring events or programs can be submitted once every three years. However, they will be considered after November 1, 2026, if grant funds remain available.
