Make a Difference! Huntsville Fire Department Accepting Applications for Volunteer Firefighters.

(Huntsville, ON) – The Huntsville Fire Department is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our team as volunteer firefighters. If you’re interested in serving your community and making a difference and want to learn more about what’s involved in being a volunteer firefighter, we invite you to join us for an information session on Wednesday, October 14, at 7:00 p.m.   

“Joining our team as a volunteer firefighter is a true act of service to your community, and we encourage anyone who is interested to come to the information session to find out more,” said Paul Calleja, Deputy Fire Chief. “Whether you are new to the area, or have lived here for years, as a volunteer firefighter, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference. It’s also a great way to build lasting friendships and strengthen your connection to the community and your neighbours.”  

Information session:
Date: Wednesday, October 14
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Fire Station 1, Huntsville (1 Payne Drive) 

The session will feature a presentation, an opportunity to connect with fire staff, details about the application process and training requirements, and what to expect as a member of the team.

To be considered for this year’s round of recruits, interested individuals can submit their application at huntsvillefire.ca/joinfire by October 31. While the Huntsville Fire Department accepts applications for volunteer firefighters year-round, we actively recruit and review applications once a year.
