Located in Ontario’s cottage country, the Town of Huntsville is the largest community in the District Municipality of Muskoka and in proximity to the west side of Algonquin Park. Within this exciting setting, the Town of Huntsville has a vibrant downtown and offers many cultural and outdoor recreational opportunities.

This contract position starts November 2, 2026, and runs to approximately April 17, 2027, for the Winter season. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of heavy equipment operation, previous snow removal experience, and possess a minimum of a valid DZ licence with a clean driving record. This position will require the successful candidate to work independently and make appropriate decisions and as part of a team under general guidance of the Roads Foreman or his designate.

During the winter season this position will rotate from morning to afternoon shift and will be a 40 hour per week shift. This position is also required to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days every other week during the entire length of the winter season.

The current hourly rate for this position is $30.50.
