Manager Of Strategic Initiatives

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Strategy/Treasurer, this newly created position is responsible for all aspects of project management and coordination of corporate, departmental, or divisional projects that have a cross-departmental, corporate, or strategic scope. This position also supports the management mandate of continuous improvement, organizational effectiveness, and capacity building and oversees the grant application and reporting process. This position also oversees the economic development department.

Qualifications:
- Four-year university degree in Business, Public Administration or other related programs.
- Minimum of 5-7 years related experience.
- Experience in the leadership and management of complex strategic projects, including oversight of multi-disciplinary professionals and project teams.
- Thorough understanding of municipal government structure, programs, services, priorities and issues, stakeholders’ needs and interests and government, community and business trends and issues.
- Proven ability in leadership, strategic thinking, designing, or implementing change and achieving performance objectives.
- Superior attention to detail and ability to work under significant pressure to meet strict deadlines with regular interruptions.
- Excellent interpersonal, administrative, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, research, detail-oriented skills and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate clearly using discretion, tact and courtesy.
- Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A high degree of integrity due to exposure to and coordination of confidential and/or sensitive information.
- Class “G” Driver’s license in good standing and a reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
This role works in a general office environment and the hours of work 8:30 am to 4:30. You may be required to work additional hours outside of regular office hours Monday to Friday. The salary range for this position is $85,995.00 to $94,803.80.
