Facility Operator Assistant

Huntsville, with a population approaching 20,000, is the largest community in the District of Muskoka.
The Operator Assistant will assist with the proper cleanliness, snow removal, room setups/ tear downs (including moving nets on ice) at the Canada Summit Centre, Civic Centre, Community Halls, Library, Fire Halls and other select municipal buildings. Primary responsibility is for the effective use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and otherwise caring for building areas and equipment. Work is performed within well-established routines and procedures but may deviate due to workload or events.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
- completed high school
- have at least 1 year of experience in a related field
- experience operating self-propelled floor cleaner and other custodial equipment
- familiarity with WHMIS and First Aid Certification is considered an asset.
- must possess excellent customer service skills and be willing to perform various duties in a range of weather conditions
- must have a valid Class G driver’s license.
The annual salary is $44,886.40 based on a 40-hour work week and includes a comprehensive benefit package. Hours of work will include nights, weekends and holidays and may work in various environments depending on the needs of the business.
