Environmental Policy and Project Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Development Services, the Environmental Policy and Project Coordinator supports the coordination, implementation, and execution of projects with action item timelines and provides support with respect to Council’s commitment toward climate adaptation and mitigation plans and environmental initiatives. The Environmental Policy and Project Coordinator will also collaborate with the Managers and Directors on potential grants and funding opportunities from other levels of government or organizations.
The Environmental Policy and Project Coordinator is a part of a shared service agreement with the Township of Lake of Bays, where they will provide support to the Township with respect to their priorities, projects, and work program identified in their job profile.
To assume the role of Environmental Policy and Project Coordinator you will have the following profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or College equivalent in a field related to the functional expertise requirements or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in Energy Management Systems implementation and auditing or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credentials are considered an asset.
- Minimum of three years of directly related project management and policy advisor experience.
- Proven ability with any of the following: consultation, facilitation, presentation and liaison skills with community groups, organizations, and government bodies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize relevant software applications; gather, organize, and analyze statistical data.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Proven skills and ability to analyze, manipulate and present data in a comprehensive and understandable manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and all related programs.
This role works in a general office environment in Huntsville with regular travel to Lake of Bays with potential for some remote work. The hours of work are 8:30 am to 4:30, and you may be required to work additional hours outside of regular office hours Monday to Friday. The salary range (2026) for this position $79,625.00 to $87,796.80.
