Circulation Clerk - Huntsville Public Library

Huntsville Public Library is accepting resumes for a part-time Circulation Clerk. Under the direction of the CEO/Chief Librarian, the position of part time Circulation Clerk is responsible for providing high quality public service including the checking in and checking out of Library materials, registering and updating of user records, collecting of overdue fines and other related Library fees, registration for our Library programs, and confident technical assistance to patrons, and assisting in the maintenance of the physical appearance, safety, and security of the Library.
Library experience is preferred. Interested applicants must be a high school graduate (or equivalent), be technically savvy with computers and mobile technology, be able to learn quickly, and be detail oriented. This is a front-line position that would interact with the public at the circulation desk. Good communication skills and pleasant demeanor is also required.
The hours for this role would require one shift per week in addition to rotating Saturdays. The range for this position is $21.58 to $23.80
