General Committee Post-Meeting Highlights: April 30, 2025

This month, General Committee heard on a variety of topics including the Muskoka Futures Doctor Recruitment Partnership and the Huntsville Community Fund. 

 

Deputations included:  

  • John Cowan, Coaches Association of Ontario  

 

Divisional reports included:  

  • 2024 Planning Applications Overview 

  • Muskoka Futures – Doctor Recruitment Partnership  

 

Staff reports included requests for Committee to:  

  • Approve the recommended heritage designation of 254 Old Muskoka Road (Madill Church) 

      • OUTCOME: Committee approved the recommendation  

  • Authorize the collection of community donations through the Huntsville Community Fund to support Healthcare Professional Attraction and Retention and the installation and maintenance of the Unity Circle  

      • OUTCOME: Committee authorized the recommendation  

  •  Approve the amended Flag Protocol Policy and rename it to the Flag Protocol and Clock Tower Lighting Policy 

      • OUTCOME: Committee approved the amendment and renaming of the Policy
