This month, Council heard on a variety of topics, including a proposal to bring Crokicurl to River Mill Park, a revision to the Use of Municipal Resources During Election Campaign Period Policy, as well as various administrative topics.

• The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce and the Huntsville Curling Club are bringing forward a proposal to install a Crokicurl rink in River Mill Park for the 2025-26 winter season in celebration of the Huntsville Curling Club’s 125th anniversary.
  • OUTCOME: Council approved the initiative and recognized the value that events like these add to our community.  
• In support of an equitable and transparent municipal election process, Town staff have reviewed and are recommending changes to the Use of Municipal Resources During Election Campaign Period Policy.
  • OUTCOME: Council approved the revised policy.
