“I was deeply saddened to learn that an MPP visiting Huntsville with his family was met with racist rhetoric along our Main Street. I have reached out to MPP Grewal to express my sincere apologies on behalf of the Town and Council. While the racism that individual displayed does not reflect the values I know to be held by many in this community, it was the experience MPP Grewal had. It is important that we speak out when events like this happen, so that hate does not win.”
