Nominations for Huntsville’s 2025 Community Recognition Program Open Until October 30

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville’s annual Community Recognition Program is looking for nominations from the public for individuals and organizations who contribute to the betterment of our community. Nominations received by October 30 will be recognized at the Council Meeting on November 24, 2025.

The Community Recognition Program identifies and celebrates both individuals and organizations who fulfill vital roles that meet residents’ needs, invigorate our community, create inclusive economic opportunities, and promote active democracy and community-responsive policies.

“Each year, community members and organizations dedicate countless hours and resources to causes greater than themselves. These acts of service deserve to be acknowledged for the incredible impact they have on the quality of life of residents,” shares Jacqueline Surette, Manager of Recreation, Culture, and Heritage. “The Town’s Community Recognition Program is an opportunity to say thank you and show our profound appreciation for the work of others in our community.”

The program is open to any not-for-profit, grassroots community organization, or individual, including volunteers, business owners, local residents, former residents, or non-residents who provide a direct community benefit to Huntsville. Nominations can be for actions big or small, provided they contribute in some way to enhancing the quality of life or image of the Town and its residents.
