Give Back to Your Community with Local Volunteer Opportunities
(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville, Muskoka Heritage Place, and the Algonquin Theatre is supported by a network of volunteers that help to provide numerous services the community has come to know and love. If you’ve felt the pull to give back, learn more about the range of positions available and join our volunteer team!
Something for everyone
With many kinds of positions and varying time commitments, there is a volunteer that can work for your interests and schedule. Learn more about the different opportunities at our various locations:
Canada Summit Centre/Active Living Centre – Our drop-in programs at the Active Living Centre are always in need of a helping hand to welcome guests, put out refreshments, and take attendance. You can also assist with our recreational programs or share a specialized skill with the community.
Canada Summit Centre - Aquatics – Work alongside certified Red Cross instructors and participate in regular aquatic staff training sessions. Volunteers receive job training in first aid, lifeguarding, and instructional techniques.
Town Celebrations – Assist with the delivery of community events, and celebrations. Volunteers help create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors by assisting event staff before, during, and after events.
Muskoka Heritage Place – If you have a passion for local history, enjoy engaging in conversation with people, and want to support heritage programming, then volunteering at MHP may be right for you.
Algonquin Theatre – If you want to contribute to the arts and help make our patrons' experiences memorable, get involved at the Algonquin Theatre!
Plus, these positions are located a short distance from Huntsville High School, making it easy and convenient for students to log their required 40 hours of volunteer service.
