Locks Attendant

The Corporation of the Town of Huntsville is located two hours north of Toronto in beautiful Muskoka cottage country. Huntsville, with a population approaching 20,000, is the largest community in the District of Muskoka and is a vibrant and dynamic community in which to live, work and play.

Reporting through the Lead Hands of Parks and Horticulture, the Locks Attendant position will perform various tasks related to the operation and care of the Brunel boat lift lock. This includes the actual operation of the manual boat lift lock devices and cleaning/maintenance of grounds – litter picking, turf care, watering and cultivating annual and perennial displays.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have completed high school. Must possess excellent customer service, cash handling experience and be willing to perform various duties in a range of weather conditions and must have a valid Class G driver’s license.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.58
