We are looking for the following position to complement our Facility Department:

Facility Operator 2

Reporting to the Lead Hand and Maintenance Manager, the Facility Operator is responsible for the proper cleanliness, maintenance and preventative services at the Canada Summit Centre, Huntsville Civic Centre, Community Halls and other select municipal building as deemed necessary including pool and arena(x2) facilities which includes the pool plant and refrigeration.

Completion of secondary school with 1-3 years of experience in a municipally managed arena/recreation center. The completion of the TSSA Refrigeration Operator Class B, Certified Pool Operator or the following courses would be considered an asset: Basic Refrigeration, Advance Refrigeration, Ice Making and Painting, Ice Maintenance and Operations and Recreation Facility Environmental Services HVAC. General knowledge of arena/pool operations and experience in the operation of an Olympia ice resurfacer. Additional background in HVAC operations and building automation systems is an asset. A valid Class G Driver’s License is also required.

The hourly rate range is $32.16 to $35.46 based on a 40-hour per week shift schedule that could include days, evenings, weekends and holidays. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
