Algonquin Theatre Technician

Recognizing the importance and understanding to provide exceptional across the counter service to fulfill customer needs and expectations, the Theatre Technician will be responsibility for technical requirements for Town of Huntsville facilities, including but not limited to: the Theatre, meeting and function spaces; all aspects of service delivery for lighting, sound; coordinating maintenance, as assigned by the Theatre Manager. Operates, maintains and safeguards the technical assets of the Town and facilities and supports the Theatre Manager and the Technical Director as assigned.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a theatre setting with demonstrated escalating responsibilities and ability to supervise staff/volunteers. Must possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills and be proficient in personal computer systems. Familiarity with ETC ION Xe console or ETC Eos software is an asset. Fall Arrest, Aerial Lift and First Aid Certificates are also assets.

The hourly rate for this position range is $32.16 to 35.46 Working hours will vary depending on the shift, which will include evenings and weekends.
