Holiday Hours for Town Facilities

The Town of Huntsville would like to wish the community a happy holiday season. Please be advised that Town-affiliated facilities will have varying holiday hours and closures. 

Town Hall

Town Hall will be closed starting at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. 

Building Department

Building Inspections, will not take place between Thursday, December 25th and Monday, January 5th, as Town Hall will be closed.  We will be re-opening on Monday January 5th, 2026.

During this time Building inspections will be limited to emergency or time-sensitive issues only. Inspections will be conducted on December 29 and December 30. To schedule an inspection, please Email the CBO directly at christopher.nagy@huntsville.ca or Call (705)788-4927. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours to schedule an inspection.

Canada Summit Centre and Active Living Centre

Holiday hours for the Canada Summit Centre and the Active Living Centre are as follows: 

  • Wednesday, December 24, 2025: Open for the morning and closes at 12 noon 

  • Thursday, December 25, 2025: Closed 

  • Friday, December 26, 2025: Closed 

  • Wednesday, December 31, 2025: Open for the morning and closes at 12 noon, but the Canada Summit Centre will reopen for the New Years Eve Skate from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

  • Wednesday, January 1, 2026: Closed 

The Canada Summit Centre and Active Living Centre will be open with regular business hours all other days of the week throughout the holidays. 

Muskoka Heritage Place

Muskoka Heritage Place will be closed the following dates: 

  • Tuesday, December 23, 2025 

  • Wednesday, December 24, 2025 

  • Thursday, December 25, 2025 

  • Friday, December 26, 2025 

  • Tuesday, December 30, 2025

  • Wednesday, December 31, 2025

  • Thursday, January 1, 2026 

  • Friday, January 2, 2026

Muskoka Heritage Place will be open (winter hours in effect) on Saturday, December 27, 2025, and Saturday, January 3, 2026. 

Huntsville Public Library

The Huntsville Public Library will be closed the following dates: 

  • Wednesday, December 24, 2025 

  • Thursday, December 25, 2025 

  • Friday, December 26, 2025 

  • Wednesday, December 31, 2025 

  • Thursday, January 1, 2026 

Patrons can drop off their materials in the drop box and check their account online during the days the Library is closed, as well as access all eResources at huntsvillelibrary.ca. 

Algonquin Theatre

The Algonquin Theatre will be closed Monday, December 22, 2025, to Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
