This month Committee heard about several items, including:  

ITEM: Continued Physician Attraction Efforts 

Staff were directed to investigate both short and long-term options to support continued physician attraction and retention efforts. Research and discussions with community healthcare partners identified potential options and staff recommended the creation of the Huntsville Healthcare Advisory Panel (HHAP) to develop these options in collaboration with healthcare partners. 

OUTCOME:  

The Committee approved the creation of the HHAP and the related Terms of Reference.

ITEM: LiveBarn Video Streaming Platform 

Huntsville Girls Hockey Association made a deputation to Council in September 2025 to consider installing the LiveBarn video streaming platform in both arenas at the Canada Summit Centre. Staff investigated the service and made the recommendation to enter into an agreement with LiveBarn. 

OUTCOME: The Committee authorized staff to enter into an agreement with LiveBarn.

ITEM: Lighting at McCulley-Robertson Baseball Diamond F 

Staff were directed to conduct a photometric study at the park to determine if there were lighting concerns. Staff determined that additional illumination is required in non-playing areas. 

OUTCOME: The decision has been postponed to the March 2026 General Committee meeting to allow time to investigate alternative solutions and options for risk mitigation.
