Pre-condition surveys for residents/owners in construction area

  • Dufferin Construction and their contractor OZA Inspections Inc., will be hand delivering pre-condition letters outlining options for property owners to take advantage of a pre-condition survey for their property
  • Blasting may be required to take place as construction progresses. If blasting is required, a completed pre-condition survey for the property is favourable
  • There is no charge for this pre-condition survey service. Should you have questions or concerns – please contact District of Muskoka at publicworks@muskoka.on.ca

Waste collection in the construction zone

During construction all waste and recycling services will be maintained per your regular collection day schedule. Place your waste at your regular location and the contractor will work directly with the waste removal company to ensure all garbage is removed.

Try the District's new online collection calendar to search by your address to confirm your next collection day.

Deliveries in the construction zone

We will work closely with businesses in the construction area to ensure deliveries are accommodated.

  • Deliveries will be coordinated between the contractor, the BIA and our downtown businesses. We look forward to providing an onsite Public Relations Representative as a resource for businesses, so deliveries can be arranged confidently in advance.
  • Contact details will be updated in the coming weeks for businesses to plan deliveries.

Parking for employees

The Town of Huntsville and Downtown Huntsville BIA are encouraging all downtown employees to park on side streets and public lots outside of the downtown core. Parking will be at premium during construction and we all want to ensure that customers and visitors have access to parking spaces.

Parking lots have been secured to support staff parking and they are in the following locations:

  • Huntsville Curling Club
  • Huntsville Legion
  • Canada Summit Centre

The BIA will also be working on an Employee Incentive Program to encourage staff to park further from the Downtown Core. More information about this program will be updated in the coming weeks.

Community Improvement Plan

Thinking of making building renovations or improvements during Construction? The Town of Huntsville has updated its Community Improvement Plan (CIP) that has program and funding opportunities available to those businesses to location building improvements and or enhancements. Information available on financial programs and incentives.
