Day camp details

Things to know for your campers in 2022:

Communication prior to camp

On the Thursday prior to camp, you will receive an email from Camp Staff with all the information needed to assist you in getting ready for camp.

To ensure you do not miss any information, please ensure your email is up-to-date.

Camp programming
The Town of Huntsville Camp Team has been hard at work building camp programs that will ensure your children have a fun and safe summer.
Behaviour expectations

Disruptive or uncooperative behavior spoils camp for everyone. Each parent and camper must sign a behavior expectation form. Campers who do not live up to expectations may be asked to leave camp permanently.

When considering a recreation experience please consider the individuals needs, and that the recreation integrated setting may not be suitable for all persons with disabilities. Health and Safety of participants and staff is paramount, which could result in participants being denied access to the program.

Please note that the Town of Huntsville does not offer 1:1 support for youth programs or campers. Children who require an Educational Assistant at school or 1:1 support for success, are asked to provide their own caregiver at youth programs/camp. Please contact our Community Services Recreation staff for further information, to communicate your child’s needs and/or how to bring a caregiver for your child.

Procedures at camp

All campers and staff will wash/sanitize hands throughout when entering the camp location and regularly throughout the day.

Illness at Camp

If a camper or staff becomes ill or shows symptoms while at camp, the individuals will be separated from the group into a supervised are until they can be picked up by a parent/guardian or go home.

Parents are responsible for having their camper picked up within 1 hour of being notified that their child is ill/ and showing symptoms.

Refund Policy

A $20 administration fee per week of camp will be charged for any cancellation from June 1 up until June 25. For cancellations after June 25, there is a 50% cancellation fee per week per camper.
