(Huntsville ON) Diggin’ Downtown paving and road closures continue for Thursday, July 14, in downtown Huntsville. At 7:00pm, Main Street will be closed to traffic just east of Brunel Road to the Swing Bridge and will reopen Friday July 15 at 7:00am.

The Town of Huntsville will continue to update residents on Huntsville.ca and through their social media channels as paving and line painting continue and if delays are expected.

Residents are asked to plan their travel in advance, follow detour signage and to use alternate routes.

The Town of Huntsville and District of Muskoka would like to thank the community for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during this construction project.

About Diggin’ Downtown

Diggin’ Downtown construction started in March 2021 to replace underground water and sewer pipes that deliver critical services to our community - these services are old, and require upgrades before emergencies, and unplanned outages happen.

At the same time, the Town is taking the opportunity to address the sidewalk, landscaping and accessibility features of the area with a Muskoka-inspired streetscape design. The Diggin’ Downtown project is on track to be completed this summer. For project updates and to stay in the know, please visit Huntsville.ca/diggindowntown.
