Intersection Closure - High Street and Brunel

The District of Muskoka has issued a notice of an intersection closure at High Street and Brunel Road Intersection (Muskoka Road 2).

An important water valve located in the High Street and Brunel Road intersection is nearing the end of its useful life, requiring replacement to maintain functionality of the District’s water system. The planned replacement of this valve allows operators to redirect water in our watermains, this is especially critical to maintain service during an emergency event.

An intersection closure is in effect during the water valve replacement on:

• Tuesday, October 18, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Although this work was originally scheduled overnight to not disrupt traffic or water customers, this important work requires daylight, enhanced visibility, and heightened safety measures, to ensure the disruption is limited and does not extend over multiple days.
