  • Anyone who visits downtown Huntsville can take the #healthyhuntsville pledge.
  • When you sign up to take the pledge a Town staff member will arrange to give you a sticker for your car and answer any questions about the program.
  • Use the Summer Parking Map to find a parking spot.
  • Learn about the pledge and take the #healthyhuntsville pledge.
  • Win cool prizes from The Downtown BIA, Algonquin Outfitters and the Town of Huntsville! (Total value of more than $500)

Drop dead batteries off at the following locations:
  • Canada Summit Centre: front desk and pool desk
  • Active Living Centre: 2nd floor foyer
  • Civic Centre: 2nd floor across from Customer Service
  • Algonquin Theatre: lobby
  • Huntsville Public Library: lobby and circulation desk
Before you drop batteries in the bin:
  • Tape the ends of the batteries so they don't short circuit
Why recycle batteries:
  • Batteries collected in the bins are taken to a facility in Ontario where over 98% of the materials are recycled
  • If you want to learn more about the battery recycling process, visit the Raw Materials Company (RMC) website.
