Leisure Programs for Adults

Huntsville has a very active and involved community so our Community Services Department is sure to offer many fun and interesting leisure adult programs to help enrich the lives of all adults of any age in pursuit of sport, leisure or just plain old fun!

When life gives you snow, go snowshoeing

Monday Snowshoe Yoga

  • Mondays from 10:00am-11:00am
  • Instructor: Monica Larade
  • FREE
  • Meet at the Active Living Centre, Upper Parking Lot, ready to go.
  • Dress for the weather. Bring your snow shoes. Bring poles if you have them.
  • Cancellations: During inclimate weather this program may be cancelled or delayed. Please contact the Canada Summit Centre if confirmation is needed 705-789-6421.

Friday Snowshoe Lunch Hike

  • Fridays from 12:00pm-12:45-pm
  • FREE
  • Meet at the Active Living Centre, Upper Parking Lot, ready to go.

Saturday Snowshoe Yoga

This combination of two wonderful activities practiced in the beautiful, wild studio of Muskoka, invigorates the body and lifts the spirit! It is a gentle-moderate flow styled class that keeps the blood flowing and body warm. Take your yoga practice outside into the beauty of nature, fresh air and sunlight! Join us at our Saturday morning Snowshoe Yoga Class! Beginners are welcome. Your instructor: Monica Larade. 

  • Saturday Mornings, meet at ALC Parking Lot and Camp Kitchen Road.
  • 11:00am-12:00pm
  • $10.00pp/day
  • Pre-registration is appreciated. In person registration accepted. Click on the  OUTDOOR category.
  • February 3, 10, 24 & March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 (all dates are weather dependent)
  • Be ready to go. Dress for the weather. Bring your snowshoes (and poles if you like)

Programs and Activities

Programs change on a seasonal basis.  Some programs are offered with an instructor and require pre-registration.  Others are drop-in style activities that anyone in the community can pop in and take part in.  Fees are applicable to both.
