Media Release: Future of Healthcare in Huntsville - Have your say at an upcoming public meeting

(HUNTSVILLE, ON ) The Town of Huntsville would like to encourage members of the public to attend the Monday, April 23rd Town Council Meeting and the subsequent public meeting for the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare discussions. Those interested in healthcare in our community are encouraged to attend and provide comments directly to Council.

The Huntsville Town Council Meeting will be held at the Algonquin Theatre on Monday April 23 7:00pm, 37 Main Street East Huntsville.

Town Council will have the opportunity to speak with representative(s) from the Muskoka Algonquin Health Care (MAHC) Board regarding future healthcare within the community. A presentation will also be made by representatives of the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s (MAHC) Capital Plan Development Task Force regarding the future planning work that has been completed by the Task Force to date.  The Task Force will also be presenting the details of the programs and services being proposed for each of the models being considered for future healthcare within the MAHC area. A public meeting will be held immediately following both presentations to provide the opportunity for the public to ask questions or provide comments directly to Council regarding this matter.
