Media Release: Fire Destroys Multiple Trailers in Huntsville

(Huntsville / Lake of Bays) On May 19 around 11:20 a.m. Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Fighters from Station One in Huntsville and Station Five in Port Sydney responded to a report of multiple trailers on fire at Muskoka Bible Centre’s campground in Huntsville.

Media Release: Huntsville Launches New Community and User Group Budget Requests Form

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville’s annual budget process includes consideration of capital and operating requests from community members and user groups for a new Town asset, program, or service. Huntsville has launched a new online form for these new Community Budget Requests; the deadline for request submission is June 14, 2024, in order to be considered for the upcoming 2025-2026 budget.

The elevator at Town Hall is currently out of order until further notice due to mechanical issues. Second floor can be accessed through High St.

News Notice: Update - Downtown Huntsville Sidewalk Repair Work

(Huntsville, ON) Sidewalk repair work on Main St. in downtown Huntsville, will be completed on May 16, 2024. This repair work was required as a result of deficiencies from the Diggin’ Downtown construction project, which was under warranty.

The laneway between Wooden Penny and Algonquin Outfitters is closed today (May 15) and will reopen on May 16.

All downtown businesses are open. Pedestrians should use the signalled intersection at Main and Brunel for safe crossing.

Parking Lot Closure – Muskoka 2/4 Craft Beer Festival – May 17-18, 2024

Residents are advised the Muskoka 2/4 Craft Beer Festival will take place on Saturday, May 18, impacting the River Mill Park parking lot in downtown Huntsville.

The River Mill Park parking lot will be closed Friday, May 17 at 7 a.m. to Saturday, May 18 at 10 p.m. for this event. Event attendees will be directed to park at the Summit Centre (dependent of availability) and other available parking lots and make their way on foot to River Mill Park.
