Media Release: COVID-19 Update: Building Site Inspections

Posted On Tuesday April 21, 2020

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) Town of Huntsville residents are advised that Town Building Department representatives will be attending residential sites to close off open building permits. These site inspections will be limited to external projects, where permits were issued between 2002-2006 and no final inspections were requested.  These site visits consist of permits related to docks, decks, septic systems and accessory structures.

All inspections will be mindful of COVID-19 safe work practices, and will not include contact between staff and property occupants. All Town staff conducting site visits will be identifiable and possess town issued identification. No fees will be requested for these inspections.

It is important to note that Town staff are not responsible for confirming what workplaces are essential and will continue to communicate how services will be offered during this emergency.  Essential Workplace information is available by calling Stop the Spread Business Information Line at 1-888-444-3659 or ontario.ca website.
