Media Release: Huntsville’s Building Department to Hold Training Session for New Digital Permitting Software

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville’s Building Department would like to invite residents and construction industry professionals to the first training session for the new digital permitting software. The training session will be held virtually on April 1, 2021 at 7:00pm and hosted by the software company Cloudpermit.

As of January 1, 2021, the Town launched new online software for building permit submission and management. The cloud-based permit software is a one-stop shop for professionals or home owners looking to build in Huntsville. It provides each user their own portal for application submissions, inspections and approvals, as well as integration with building staff, scheduling, online billing and payments.

Those interested in learning more about the software, or how to submit and manage their account can sign-up for the training session by providing an email address at Huntsville.ca. On the day of the event, a zoom invitation link will be sent to those who have registered.

The April 1, training session will cover:

  • How to setup an account as a property owner and as a contractor acting on behalf,
  • How to submit a building permit,
  • How to request a site inspection,
  • Commonly asked questions.
