Huntsville Seeks Input on Draft Community Planning Permit By-law at Public Meeting on October 27

Posted On Friday October 22, 2021

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville is looking for public input on the Draft Community Planning Permit By-law (CPP) at an upcoming Public Meeting on October 27, 2021. The CPP By-law will provide Huntsville with the ability to regulate and manage development in a more streamlined and flexible manner, replace the existing Huntsville Zoning By-law and implement the policies of the Town’s Official Plan.

The CPP By-law will provide a new development approval process for Huntsville that merges three separate approvals into one and includes measures to regulate vegetation removal and site alteration; which many in Huntsville have eagerly anticipated, but must also be an approach suitable for application in our Rural areas.

The Town would like to encourage residents, businesses and interested individuals to review the Draft CPP By-law and participate in the Public Meeting.

The Virtual Public Meeting will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 6:00pm, to provide the public with an opportunity to offer comments to Planning Staff and Council on the Draft CPP By-law.  The meeting notice, link and participation instructions for this meeting are posted at www.huntsville.ca/PC.

The Draft CPP By-law can be viewed at myhuntsville.ca/cppbylaw.  Feedback may be provided by contacting planning staff using the questions tabs and staff contact details available on myhuntsville.ca page. Comments on the Draft By-law and associated mapping can also be made directly on the Draft Precinct Interactive Map tool.
