Media Release: Huntsville launches new online engagement website: myhuntsville.ca

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) The Town of Huntsville is excited to announce the launch of myhuntsville.ca, a community engagement site where residents can get involved in municipal business, provide their ideas and opinions, and help shape the community in which they live. 

“It’s really important that residents within our community have the ability to share their thoughts and ideas regarding the services they fund and utilize.  The online engagement portal will allow easy access making it simple to chime in on issues that matter most to our residents,” said Denise Corry, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Huntsville.  

Aimed to complement the Town’s in-person public consultation processes, myhuntsville.ca will allow residents to provide feedback on a particular project(s) at any time. “We realize that our residents are busy, and that attending public meetings about projects that matter can be challenging, so having an online resource, available 24/7, where residents can provide their thoughts and opinions is very important to us. The easier it is to provide input, the more we hope everyone will get involved and “have their say” on municipal business,” notes Corry. 

Residents can look forward to exploring various projects on myhuntsville.ca equipped with user friendly online engagement tools to provide their opinion; such as surveys, polls, stories and ideas. It’s with these tools that the Town will gather residents input, provide timely updates, answer questions and report back on how this feedback contributed to the decisions being made. 

Residents are encouraged to sign up in order to utilize the websites engagement tools, “The signup process is quick and easy and will give residents full site access to provide their opinion. It also helps keep them informed and up to date as the project moves forward,” suggests Corry. 

Currently the Town of Huntsville is seeking public input on updates to the Strategic Plan, and would also like to hear from residents on why they love Huntsville and what makes it great.
