Municipal Accommodation Tax Information Session

Please join the Town of Huntsville and the Ontario Restaurant Hotel Motel Association (ORHMA) for an information session for the collection and remittance of Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) for short-term rentals.

If you are a short-term rental provider, or thinking about becoming one, this session will provide an overview of the collection and remittance required for the MAT.

This virtual meeting hosted by ORHMA is open to all and will take place on February 9 at 1:00pm.

Please be advised that the washrooms at 37 Main Street East (Club 55 in Town Hall) are closed due to a service disruption. The washrooms located at 8 West Street (River Mill Park) are open for public use 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm.

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) The Town would like to announce the appointment of the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire department’s Interim Fire Chief Larry Brassard. Chief Brassard has a proven track record for leading fire and emergency services throughout his career. Most recently Chief Brassard held a senior role with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office in Fire Investigation services. Due to a recent departure of the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Chief, the placement of an interim Fire Chief was necessary.
