TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Huntsville has,pursuant to Section 11 and 48 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, proposes to name the following roads:

Lynnhaven Ln, Natessa Ct, Paisley Av, Eaglecrest Av, Charles Morley Bv, Summerwill St, Hugh Conlin Ct, Green Dr, Barnett St

in the Town of Huntsville, in the District Municipality of Muskoka.

Media Release: COVID-19 Update: Modification to Town Services during return to Step Two

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) With the Province of Ontario’s return to Step Two of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen on Wednesday January 5, 2022 the Town of Huntsville is required to modify public service offerings.

Town Hall will continue to remain open for in-person services. However, if planning to visit in-person, appointments are encouraged. Wherever possible, the Town recommends contact-less options through municipal phone and email addresses.

Community Flag Raising - Alzheimer's Awareness Month

Each January, the Alzheimer Society supports and leads Canada's Alzheimer's Awareness Month. In recognition of Alzheimer's Awareness Month, the Town of Huntsville is pleased to raise the Flag of the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka. During this month, the Society encourages organizations and individuals to learn more about dementia and its stark impact on Canadians.

Service Disruption: River Mill Park Washrooms

Please be advised that the washrooms at 8 West Street (River Mill Park) are closed due to a service disruption. The washrooms located at 37 Main Street East (Club 55 in Town Hall) are open for public use 7 days a week from 9am to 8pm.

Ontario Launches New Support for Businesses

The Ontario government is introducing new supports for many of the businesses that are most impacted by public health measures in response to the Omicron variant. These supports include a new Ontario Business Costs Rebate Program and a six-month interest- and penalty-free period to make payments for most provincially administered taxes.
