(Huntsville ON) Starting Wednesday, May 11, 2022, Diggin’ Downtown construction work will continue in the Main Street and Lorne Street intersection. Lorne Street North will be closed to traffic from Main Street to Caroline Street, while Lorne Street South will be reopened to traffic. To ensure the safety of our students and community, Caroline Street West will continue to operate as a one-way street in front of Huntsville Public School.

(Huntsville ON) Starting Thursday, May 5, 2022, Diggin’ Downtown construction work will commence in the Main Street and Lorne Street intersection. Main Street will continue to remain closed from Centre Street to Lorne Street, however Lorne Street South will be closed to traffic from Main Street to Minerva Street. Please note, the Municipal Council and School Board Trustee nominations for the the Huntsville 2022 election will open on May 2, 2022, at 8:30 am, and remain open until August 19, 2022, at 2:00 pm.

Parking Lot and Temporary Road Closure

Please be advised that the Town Hall Parking Lot will be closed April 29 at 9:00pm until April 30 at 6:00pm for the Muskoka Maple Festival. Further, Main Street East will be temporarily closed from Brunel Road to West Street on April 30 from 7:00am until 6:30pm.

(Huntsville ON) Diggin’ Downtown construction is on track to be completed this summer. Starting Friday, April 29, 2022, the Main and Centre Street intersection will be open to 3-way traffic by the end of the day. Curbs, sidewalks and a smooth driving surface are nearing completion in this area, and we’re pleased that this intersection can re-open to ease traffic delays.
