Lake of Bays Home Suffers $400K in Fire Damage

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire shortly before 1pm on Highway 35 in Dwight this afternoon. Upon arrival, crews from Station 2 and Station 3 encountered thick smoke inside the two-storey home. The fire was quickly located and extinguished by fire crews.

There were no occupants home at the time and employees from adjacent businesses had witnessed the smoke and called 911. One employee entered the structure and removed two dogs that were inside. Unfortunately,...

National AccessAbility Week is being held from May 29 to June 4, 2022. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of Canadians with disabilities and promote efforts to increase accessibility and inclusion in Canada. In recognition of National AccessAbility Week, and on behalf of the Huntsville Accessibility Advisory Committee, the Town of Huntsville will be raising a flag on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 10:45 am in Civic Square.
