Please be advised that there will be a road closure at Johanna Street at Wilmott Street, to Florence Street West, to Rice Lane on August 14, 2023 until August 18, 2023, for a water/sewer installation. Swim Advisory Posted for Port Sydney Beach - August 10

Update: The swim advisory for Port Sydney Beach has been lifted. The retesting showed safe bacteria levels in the water. Town of Huntsville swimming lessons will resume at Port Sydney Beach. 

Based on beach water samples collected on August 9, 2023, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has issued a swim advisory for Port Sydney Beach. Town of Huntsville swimming lessons will move from Port Sydney Beach to Hutcheson Beach while the swim advisory remains in effect.

Please be advised that there will be a road closure at Hodges Lane 40m Northeast of Hunters Bay Drive on August 9, 2023, for a sewer/watermain repair. Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM and finish at 5:00 PM. For a detailed road closure map and information, visit: huntsville.ca.

(Huntsville, ON) In recognition of Canada Day, the fireworks originally scheduled for July 1, 2023, have been rescheduled to 10 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023, over Hunters Bay. The fireworks were postponed due to the Restricted Fire Zone ordered by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, which was lifted on July 11, 2023, at 4 pm.

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville is developing a new Strategic Plan to outline the long-term vision and short-term goals for the municipality. From July 28 to August 25, 2023, the Town is seeking public input through a community survey to gather feedback on Huntsville’s top priorities.
