Media Release: Huntsville Flags to be Lowered September 30th in Recognition of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

(Huntsville, ON) On September 30, 2021 the Canadian flag at Municipal buildings in Huntsville will be lowered to half-mast in recognition of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
The Town of Huntsville and Huntsville Council would like to remind and encourage residents to participate in the cultural activities the Huntsville Public Library will be hosting from September 27 – October 1, 2021 and to take part in the Orange Shirt Day March and Gathering event on September 30th.

Please be advised that power has been restored and phone services have resumed for Town Hall and the Canada Summit Centre and the facilities have reopened. The Canada Summit Centre walking track and pool are open and the arenas will be reopen at 4:00pm.

(Huntsville, ON) As the Province continues to respond to the Covid-19 crisis and in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, on September 22 the Ontario Government is implementing new regulations for Ontario, that require proof of vaccination in select settings.

(Huntsville, ON) Diggin’ Downtown construction crews are progressing with work downtown and have been preparing the Stage 2 area for new curb and sidewalks this week, September 13 -17, 2021. Crews will be onsite and working in the Brunel Road and West Street area this Saturday, September 18, 2021, during the day for fine grading work within the roadway.
