Media Release: Fire Department Responds to Early Morning Emergency in Baysville

(Baysville) – At 12:04 am this morning the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting an explosion at the Lake of Bays Brewing Company in Baysville. Crews from Station 4 in Baysville, including 15 firefighters and three trucks, attended the scene on Muskoka Road 117.
Upon arrival firefighters discovered a vapour cloud around the building. The cause of the plume was attributed to an over-pressurized tank containing carbon dioxide. This caused a supply line to fail,...

Community Flag Raising - National Indigenous Day-Survivor Flag

On behalf of Hope Arises Project Inc., the Town of Huntsville has raised the National Indigenous Day Survivor Flag from September 25th to September 30th.The Survivors' Flag is an expression of remembrance meant to honour residential school Survivors and all the lives and communities impacted by the residential school system in Canada. (HUNTSVILLE, ON) As a result of high seasonal temperatures, the Town of Huntsville is experiencing a rapid increase in water levels as water makes its way through the watershed. Residents and businesses in low lying areas and the downtown core are advised to monitor conditions and prepare accordingly over the next 24 to 48 hours. Huntsville Seeking Public Input on Echo Bay Area Water Access

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville is seeking public input regarding water access and future amenities in the Echo Bay area on Fairy Lake. Residents are encouraged to attend the public meeting on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00pm at the Active Living Centre and/or participate in an online survey. Details from both engagement opportunities will be considered by staff and incorporated into an April report for Council consideration.
