Happy Anniversary Huntsville

On January 7, 1901, when Huntsville accepted its official status as a town; there were no ceremonies or big newspaper headlines. Just a small note in the Forester reading that “Huntsville has outgrown her old village garb and on January 7th will be recognized officially as an incorporated town”.

Well she’s 120 years young today.

While much has changed, what has stayed the same is: this was and is a great town, was and is, a great place to live, was and is filled with great people who have pride...

Hunters Bay Trail – Open for the Season

Hunters Bay Trail is now open for the season. This spring, get active and enjoy nature on one of the Town’s beautiful trails.

The Hunters Bay Trail is a walking, running and cycling trail. It begins at the Centre Street bridge near Uponor and winds along the river, under the railway, along the south side of Hunters Bay, through Avery Beach Park and under the Hwy #11 corridor.

News Notice: MNRF has Issued a Water Safety Bulletin Effective March 7 until March 18

(Huntsville, ON) The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) – Bracebridge Minden Parry Sound District has issued a Water Safety Bulletin, in effect for the district until Monday, March 18, 2024, which directly impacts Huntsville residents and our area waterways. Town Staff are actively monitoring water levels, will stay abreast of the evolving conditions, and will communicate with residents on an as-needed basis.
