(HUNTSVILLE, ON) Mark your calendars! The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is ramping up for the 35th annual Project Porchlight Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army. Fire trucks, with the assistance of the OPP, EMS, Public Works, and Motorcyclists of Muskoka, will be coming house-to-house to collect non-perishable food donations across our community on Wednesday, December 6, starting at 6:00 pm.

Road Closure - Muskoka Holiday Market

Residents are advised the Muskoka Holiday Market: Downtown Huntsville Edition will take place on Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26, impacting traffic in downtown Huntsville.

Main Street East will be closed from Centre Street to Brunel Road from 7 am on Saturday to 4 pm on Sunday during the event weekend. Barricades will block vehicular traffic from the event area and detour signage will be posted.

Highway 60 Corridor Walkway Now Open for Pedestrian Use

A new Town-maintained walkway has been installed in the Highway 60 corridor and is now available for pedestrian use. This seasonal walkway connects Fairyview Drive with the pedestrian crossing at Highway 60 and Szawlowski Drive to help residents maintain access to the community during the winter months.

Residents are advised the Huntsville Santa Claus Parade will start at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 24, 2023, impacting traffic in downtown Huntsville.

The parade route travels from Main Street West at Lorne Street, along Main Street East and King William Street, to Huntsville Place Mall. Please anticipate the following road closures to accommodate the parade:
