(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville’s recovery from the recent cybersecurity incident is in the final stages. All but one internal system, and all external facing systems are now in operation; however, some municipal services are still impacted.

Work is in progress for staff to access electronic records.  Specific services continue to be impacted as some documents are still unavailable at this time (e.g. septic permits). Please call Town Hall Customer Service at 705-789-1751 for questions...

News Notice: New Fire Hydrant Marking Implemented in Huntsville & Lake of Bays

(Huntsville / Lake of Bays) The District of Muskoka and The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department are implementing a consistent marking pattern for both District maintained and privately maintained fire hydrants across the District of Muskoka. All fire hydrants must be marked in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 291.

NFPA 291 requires that all District maintained fire hydrants are painted yellow and all privately maintained fire hydrants are painted red....

Road Closure – Muskoka Maple Festival – April 27, 2024

Residents are advised the Muskoka Maple Festival will take place on Saturday, April 27, impacting traffic in downtown Huntsville.

Traffic impacts on Saturday, April 27 for this event will be as follows:

  • Closure: Main St. E. will be closed from Brunel Rd. to Centre St. and West St. S. will be closed from Main Street to before Pharmasave Parking Lot Entrance from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for festival events
