General Committee Pre-Meeting Highlights - January 29, 2025

This month, General Committee is hearing on a variety of topics including updates on the Strategic Successes and a Corporate Action Plan, By-Law Amendments and Changes as well as an Annual Report from Muskoka Heritage Place. Here are some of this month’s topics:

  • The Town-Owned Lands Working Group reports on their mandate to categorize all Town-Owned lands and determine any surplus land that could be developed or sold. The report seeks approval from Committee to adopt the recommendations within.

This month, Council is being presented with a few reports, including an update on a Muskoka Community Land Trust request. Here are some of this month’s topics:

  • Staff provide an update on the request by the Muskoka Community Land Trust (MCLT) regarding the disposition of municipal lands located at 40 Florence Street West and Abraham Road for the development of affordable rental housing units.

Due to extenuating circumstances, please be advised that the following pool programs have been cancelled for January 21, 2025:

  • Body Blast: 9:00-9:45am
  • Morning Preschool Swim: 9:15-10:00am
  • Jog & Spin: 9:45-10:30am
  • Aquafit: 10:30am-11:15am
  • Adult Multi-Level: 1:00-2:00pm
  • Hydrorider: 2:00-2:45pm
  • Afternoon Lap Swim: 2:00-2:45pm
