Joint Media Release: Diggin’ Downtown Lane Restrictions at Main Street and Centre Street

(Huntsville, ON) Diggin’ Downtown construction work continues in Stage 3 this week with crews working from West Street toward Centre Street. In order to safely install services and access the construction working zone, lane restrictions are anticipated Tuesday, October 19, until Thursday, October 21, 2021 on the east side of the Main Street and Centre Street intersection and delays will be experienced in this area from 6:30am – 6:30pm.  Crews will be completing the remaining work immediately...

Temporary Lane Reduction on Swing Bridge

Please be advised the swing bridge in downtown Huntsville will temporarily be reduced to a single lane of traffic on Tuesday, October 5 at 9:00am and will reopen at 3:00pm for work related to Diggin’ Downtown construction. The sidewalk on the south side of the bridge will remain open to pedestrians (north sidewalk will be closed) and access to businesses will continue to be accommodated.

(Huntsville, ON) Diggin’ Downtown construction crews are progressing with work downtown and have been preparing the Stage 2 area for new curb and sidewalks this week, September 13 -17, 2021. Crews will be onsite and working in the Brunel Road and West Street area this Saturday, September 18, 2021, during the day for fine grading work within the roadway.

(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville and District of Muskoka would like to notify the community that a Diggin’ Downtown construction crew will be onsite on Saturday, September 11 to start preparations for the road and sidewalk base. The current detours remain in place and Downtown Huntsville is accessible for pedestrians and all businesses in the construction zone are open.
