Joint Media Release: Diggin’ Downtown Main Street Paving Update July 13

(Huntsville ON) Diggin’ Downtown paving and road closures continue for Wednesday, July 13, in downtown Huntsville.

At 7:00pm, Main Street will be closed to traffic from West Street to the Swing Bridge and will reopen tomorrow morning, July 14 at 7:00am. The Town of Huntsville will continue to update residents on Huntsville.ca and through their social media channels as paving and line painting continue and if delays are expected.

Residents are asked to plan their travel in advance, follow detour signage...

(Huntsville ON) Due to weather, the Diggin’ Downtown paving and road closures scheduled for Main Street on Monday July 11 were delayed, and will commence tonight, Tuesday July 12. The weather forecast for this week indicates continued rain, and construction schedules may be adjusted, as paving can not happen when there is heavy rain.

(Huntsville ON) The Town of Huntsville and the District of Muskoka would like to announce the final lift of asphalt for Diggin’ Downtown will take place overnight on Monday, July 11, 2022 as well as overnight on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

On Monday, July 11 at 7:00pm, Main Street will be closed to traffic from Lorne Street to West Street and will reopen the next morning at 7:00am.

(Huntsville ON) Diggin’ Downtown detours will change on Tuesday May 31, 2022 with the re-opening of the Lorne Street intersection. Traffic will resume in the area with only minimal flagging disruptions for the remainder of the project.  

 Starting Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Diggin’ Downtown construction road restrictions for motorists will be as follows:
