Older Adults are an every changing population that continues to grow, express interest in trying new activities and concentrate on their physical well being.   The Leisure Services Department for the Town of Huntsville continues to increase its programs and services to this growing population.   Gone are the days when activities only included passive activities.   Today's older adults are now joining fitness classes, playing hockey, public skating and joining Belly Dancing, Yoga and Tai Chi Programs.   Yes those tradition programs such as cards, art classes and luncheons still remain but as you can see the list continues to grow and become more active.

We continue to grow and offer additional programs to older adults.   If you have a special skill that can be developed into a program for this age group and would like to get involved with teaching a new activity or skill, please prepare a proposal for discussion with one of our staff.

There are two Older Adult Associations that call Huntsville home.   The Huntsville Centennial Seniors operate and offer programs from the Huntsville Centennial Centre, while the second organization known as Club 55 operates from the Town Hall offers a wide range of programs from that location.

Please direct any enquiries to Debbie Deluca, Older Adults Program Coordinator,
