Located in Ontario's cottage country, the Town of Huntsville is the largest community in the District Municipality of Muskoka and in proximity to the west side of Algonquin Park. We are looking for a Plans Examiner to complement our Development Services Division. Under the general direction of the Chief Building Official the Plans Examiner shall provide a high level of customer service, advice and interpretation as it relates to the Ontario Building Code and provide technical support to the Building Department by receiving, processing and issuing building permit applications.
Ideally, the successful candidate would possess a post-secondary graduate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology or equivalent along with the legal BCIN qualification at a minimum. CBCO designation along with experience in a municipal setting and/or construction industry would be considered an asset. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, communication skills and computer application knowledge is necessary. A valid driver's licence is also required.
The salary range for this position is $48,428.09 to $53,808.99 including an attractive benefit package.
