Parking Ambassador - Seasonal Position
The Town of Huntsville is hiring a Parking Ambassador to provide consistent, professional and customer-oriented parking services on-street in downtown Huntsville.
Reporting through the Chief By-law Enforcement Officer, this position will be responsible for monitoring vehicles and enforcing Town parking by-laws while communicating with and educating the public concerning Town parking.
In addition to monitoring parking, the Parking Ambassador will provide directions, and provide more "eyes and ears" on the street. They will be knowledgeable of Huntsville's businesses and landmarks, town programs and services and will help connect residents and visitors with destinations and information.
Parking Ambassadors are strong communicators, approachable, skilled at providing information and have a demonstrated history of working with the public. Ideally, the successful candidate will currently be enrolled in police foundations or hospitality/tourism or equivalent. Must possess excellent customer service, be willing to perform various duties in a range of weather conditions and must have a valid Class G driver's licence and undergo a Police background check.
This is a seasonal position with a starting date of June 12th, 2017 and working until September 1st, 2017. The hourly rate for this position is $12.02. Hours of work per week will vary and will include weekends and evenings.
