Located in Ontario's cottage country, the Town of Huntsville is the largest community in the District Municipality of Muskoka and in proximity to the west side of Algonquin Park. Within this exciting setting, the Town of Huntsville has a vibrant downtown and offers many cultural and outdoor recreational opportunities.

We are looking for a Facilities Manager to complement our Community Services Division. Under the general direction of the Director of Community Services the Facilities Manager shall be responsible for ensuring service excellence to tenants, building users and the general public. The responsibility for built environment includes the Civic Centre/Algonquin Theatre, Muskoka Heritage Place (custodial only), Canada Summit Centre (Arena, Pool, Community Centre), Waterloo Summit Centre For The Environment, Community Halls and miscellaneous areas including the CNR Train Station. The Facilities Manager through direct reports will ensure the effective delivery of service for all operations/maintenance and custodial services and prepare annual operating and capital budgets including the implementation of short/long term plans for delivery of facility services with an emphasis on and a commitment to customer service.

Ideally, the successful candidate would possess a diploma or degree in facilities/property management combined with 3-5 years' experience in a similar position within Municipal Government or like environment. Must also possess a TSSA Refrigeration Operator Class B certificate as well as completion of basic chlorine course and/or certified pool operator's course. Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills and an excellent working knowledge of personal computer applications such as Excel PowerPoint and Word. A valid Class G driver's licence is also required as well as a Police Background Check.

The salary range for this position is $72,835.85 to $80,928.72 (based on a 35 hour work week) including an attractive benefit package. Salary range is currently under review.
